Happy Holidays!
It's winter break. Go see a good movie. Linda recommends "Invictus". It's about Nelson Mandela & South Africa and rugby, based on the book entitled "Playing the Enemy" by John Carlin. The title comes from a poem (Mandela's source of hope) written by William Ernest Henley.

Three Cups of Tea: One Man's Mission to Promote Peace- One School at a Time/ by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin
Linda said: What amazed me is that this man lived in his car while all his money went to support his goal. Mortenson had been climbing the K2 mountain in Pakistan, was sick, got lost and stumbled upon a village whose people cared for him. He observed the village kids learning in the open air (too cold to learn in winter) and promised to return to build a school. Mortenson typed (with a typewriter!) letters soliciting donations. This humble beginning grew into the Central Asia Institute foundation and the construction of more than 70 schools in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
